Naval Research Laboratory is looking for an Optical Material Engineer located in Washington D.C. Work will be performed in the area of development and design of optical and laser systems, including opto-mechanical design of optical systems, system mechanical packaging, and electrical design and packaging.  Work will consist of both design and fabrication work in laboratory environment. Support opto-mechanical packaging design for fiber lasers/solid state lasers and optical systems from breadboard to application development stage Provide opto-mechanical design for integrating laser systems.
