RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS YOUR IMPACT Looking for a detail-oriented, problem-solver, curious and adapting software developer to build the future of GS Select as an active technical contributor. As a member for this initiative, you will work with a growing engineering and product team focused on building scalable foundational services that power Select's lines of business and operations. You will be responsible for critical parts of the GS Select Platform's long-term growth strategy. Our mission to keep the customer at the center of everything we do; this is an influential and impactful role that solves to empower people financially. The ideal candidate is resourceful and detail-oriented with a penchant for moving fast on agile teams, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring digital customer products to market.
As a Vice President, you will engage with a wide range of key stakeholders across engineering, business, and product to execute on a comprehensive product roadmap. You will have growing ownership while coaching a team to continually identify ways to hone the software development process, shipping new capabilities, promoting reusability/scalability, and seamless systems integration. You will join a team of creative and driven software developers to help build the foundation of the Platform. Design and develop customer-driven product capabilities and systems for end-to-end, multi-product experiences with APIs and contract-first focus
Innovate and develop product initiatives using agile principles
Lead teams to define and iterate highly technical project goals that align to strategic priorities
Create and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of product features and quantify business impact
Collaborate with other internal and external technical & product leaders and diverse cross-functional teams to ensure cohesiveness of the overall end-to-end experiences
Lead technical activities, product assessments, testing frameworks, and overall product delivery
Scalability and reusability ambassador
5+ years of hands-on technical experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience in the field)
Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS, including access via Java
Ability to design, plan, build, test, and implement complex components independently
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management of executives (technology and business)
Self-motivated and proactive technical leader who takes ownership of and accountability for initiatives
Preference to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment with heavy emphasis on teamwork and cultivating positive relationships
Experience building and using technical products and tools (e.g. APIs, Postman)
Proficient in major product management applications (i.e. Jira, Confluence) and analytical tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau data visualizations)
Experience using Kafka or similar messaging queue as messaging middleware
Experience with micro-service based architecture
Experience with Spring, MongoDB & AWS
