We are looking for someone with the ability to test and measure the qualities of various custom optics to ensure compliance with manufacturing and customer requirements using advanced tools and techniques. Key responsibilities
Operation, handling, and calibration of advanced inspection equipment and interpretation of generated data from an interferometer, goniometer, laser test set up, etc.
responsible for the creation, troubleshooting and continuous process improvement of advanced measurement systems
Cooperate with other departments to resolve quality concerns as needed
Organize and maintain all required QA documents, both electronical and paper files
Perform the internal and/or coordinate the external testing required by customer requirements
Assist with preparation of in-process and finished optics for shipment in accordance with internal procedures and maintain supply of packaging materials
Assist with the review of incoming materials against POs and customer requirements, and perform mechanical and optical inspections
Assist with in-process and final inspection of parts and preparation of proper documents per customer requirements

Key requirements
B.S. in optical sciences, physics, or mechanical engineering preferred
Knowledge of basic handling of optics preferred
Ability to visualize abstract concepts, such as invisible beam pathways
Basic understanding of algebra and trigonometry
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong active listening skills
Ability to prioritize own and others work based on changing conditions
Good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
Comfortable using microscopes, hand loupes, positioning stages, and lasers.
Basic understanding and ability to navigate computer software such as Word and excel and operating systems such as windows.
Ability to lift 25lbs
