Base Compensation Range: $225,000 to $270,000. In accordance with the Colorado, California and New York law, the range provided is Lightmatter's reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience, location and education.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated high-speed SerDes architect to help develop the next-generation photonic communication fabric alongside a team of world-class scientists and engineers.
In this role, you will be defining how compute and memory chiplets interface with our photonic communication elements power efficiently at high speed. You will also work closely with the analog and photonic teams to turn your designs into important building blocks for photonic-enabled HPC and AI compute systems.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teams across the company including Analog, Digital, Photonics, Packaging, and Systems to architect Lightmatter products for high performance computing (HPC) and other communications systems
Working with an external design house, develop new SerDes IP specifically targeted to 3D-stacked photonic transceivers.
Subject matter expert for SerDes development and IP procurement
Translate customer requirements into system-level models and detailed specifications
Work closely with the Analog Electronics Team to set electrical and timing specifications of integrated circuits
Design integrated circuits for prototypes and high volume production systems
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10+ years experience designing integrated circuits for SerDes or similar applications
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
Deep knowledge of the state of art and industry roadmaps for SerDes and other communications interfaces
Demonstrate strong problem solving skills in problems that do not have obvious solutions
Experience with advanced node FinFET technologies
Experience with 2.5D/3D packaging and TSV technologies
Experience with discrete time filters and basic DSP
