As a member of R&D team, key responsibilities include

• Responsible in building and developing ultrafast fiber laser prototype, including both fiber and free space optics assemblies.   Performing system level testing and diagnosing. 
• Understanding Key physical phenomena which influence fiber laser performances both through experimental and theoretical analysis. Collecting and analyzing experimental data.
• Working closely with engineering team that includes electrical, mechanical and software engineers to identify root causes of the interdisciplinary problems and generating creative engineering solutions.
• Documenting optical design and modification, test methodology, component specifications.
• Working closely with the manufacturing team to transfer prototype R&D design to manufacturing; Training manufacturing personnel and helping to solve technical challenges on the production lines.   

• MS or higher degree in optics or laser physics (or equivalent).
• Experience in fiber optics or fiber laser optical system design.
• Good understanding in lasers and nonlinear optics.  Previous experience with nonlinear wavelength conversion is a plus.
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skill.  Excellent documentation and computer skills.
