Reporting to the CEO the Production Manager is responsible for the production and on-time shipment of PLX products to the required quality and specification.
Responsibilities
Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Inventory Management through Epicor
Supervise shipments to customers and vendors
Issue PO Requisitions, coordinate and follow up with Purchasing
Follow Employee Training Procedure
Plan and organize production schedules
Issue Standard Job Travelers to Team Leaders
Assess projects and resources required for all special jobs
Work closely with engineering and sales teams on all special jobs
Supervising and managing the work of all production floor staff
Organizing relevant training sessions with staff as needed
Set production goals for each team member
Develop and maintain workflow procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety and quality
Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
Establish a balance between increased productivity and reducing cost of manufacturing operations
Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals
Qualifications:
BS and/or MS in Engineering with at least 7 years of related experience in a high technology custom production environment is desirable.
Ideally experience of optics and opto-mechanical systems, tools and design.
Proficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Proficient at using ERP systems (currently working with E10 by EPICOR)
