Detailed Job Description Diversity Equity and Inclusion Coordinator is a leadership position that serves as a coordinator and liaison between the NTID community, other stakeholders, and Office of Diversity and Inclusion at NTID. The main function of the position is to foster a culture of community, diversity, and inclusion and support executive team members in working with faculty, staff, and students to address issues and opportunities of equity that promotes diversity at NTID. Provide mentoring services that empower and ignite NTID students of color (e.g. Women of Color, Honor and Ambition (WOCHA) and Men of Color, Honor, and Ambition (MOCHA), Student Ambassador program.
Provide support to International Educational Outreach (IEO) in hosting and coordinating delegates visiting NTID. Responsibilities include but are not limited to showing international guests around campus, supporting and coordinating schedules with IEO to meet people at NTID, and ensuring that all necessary accommodations or other arrangements are completed to provide a successful visit and positive delegate experience (e.g., arranging lunch, meeting rooms, touring and meeting schedules, etc.).
Collaborate with NTID community (e.g. NTID Student & Academic Services, International Educational Outreach (IEO), NTID Alumni Association, etc.) and other stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor programs and processes that promote and sustain diversity and equity.
Work with other programs at NTID to ensure that diversity and equity is considered in programming and other activities/initiatives.
Join and participate on committees that promote big events that occur at NTID, such as the job fair (e.g., making sure the Office of Diversity and Inclusion has a table at the fair).
Check in and collaborate with the NTID Student Life team to see if diversity efforts and initiatives are considered in student programs.
Meet regularly with officials and administrators in NTID Student Affairs or NTID Academic Affairs to ensure adequate support for diverse, equitable and inclusive environments.
Refer and guide individuals to appropriate procedures that can impact change, and gather data to support these efforts.
Identify emotional, social, and skill development needs and supports for at-risk deaf and hard-of-hearing students and work in partnership with Student Life Team (SLT), Summer Transition Program (STP) and other related programming.
Work with ODI Asst. Vice President and executive team to promote the unit's mission providing specific and tailored cultural cross-cultural humility within NTID Community.
Serve as a coordinator and liaison to develop mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with community organizations that surround issues of equity (e.g. partnership with 504WMain).

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
The ability to create meaningful interactions among students, faculty, and staff for the purpose of fostering a culture of community, diversity, and inclusion at NTID.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in student development and ability to interpret and apply that knowledge to the intersectional deaf and hard of hearing student community at NTID.
The ability to manage and communicate multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to various individuals.
Sign language proficiency required.
