EFFECT Photonics is looking for an experienced – Technical Lead – Optical Systems Test
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Optical Systems Test to join our growing team. This position will be the technical lead of our Optical Systems Test Development. We are seeking a highly experienced technical leader with a proven track record of delivery. You will work across the technical team and help EFFECT Photonics deliver its family of integrated photonics products to market.
Collaborate with design engineers to evaluate and integrate new technologies, components, and functionality into product designs
Design and develop optical system level testing for evaluating impacts of amplification, dispersion, PDL, PMD and channel interference
Provide design-for-test inputs to the development team on new product designs
Participate in all stages of design reviews with testability input and actively participate in critical releases
As part of the engineering development team, develop test scope, test method proposals and project timelines
Verify and analyze the implementation of module firmware and hardware control loops
Perform fiber optic amplified link system level testing
Develop test methods for high-volume test solutions for manufacturing
Requirements / Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
MS /PhD degree in Engineering or Physics
7+ years’ work experience in opto-electronic / photonics systems markets
Deep understanding of optical communications systems, including pluggable transceivers and DWDM systems
Solid understanding of optical communication fundamentals
