Detailed Job Description Provides interpreting support to the NTID President in all necessary on and off campus situations. Coordinates interpreting provision both on and off campus for events when needed. Provides interpreting support to other senior leaders of NTID, as schedule allows. Provides a variety of support, and reports directly to the Executive Assistant to the President of NTID.
Responsibilities:
Provide interpreting services between Deaf and hearing people on and off campus for the NTID President. Prepare for interpreting assignments as needed.
Provide interpreting services for other senior leaders of NTID as needed.
Coordinate twice-yearly NTID Advisory Group (NAG) meetings, working with the NTID President and NAG Chair.
Serve as part of a team coordinating Commencement activities for NTID.
Assist with the NTID Academic Awards Ceremony.
Take and disseminate notes for meetings of the NTID Faculty Congress and the NTID Administrative Council.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in interpreting
2 - 5 years' interpreting experience.
Must be fluent in English and American Sign Language and be familiar with a code of ethical conduct as it relates to interpreting between people who are Deaf and hearing.
Verbal and written communication skills
A high degree of customer focus
Social acuity
Ability to follow a strict code of ethics
A high degree of sensitivity to confidential and privileged information
