The senior staff assistant plans and coordinates recruitment and other events including orientations, open houses, information sessions, mini-conferences, and school and family visits. This position works to ensure adequate inventory of promotional items and supplies needed for events and recruitment efforts. This position is the lead administrator and resident trainer for the administration of cooperative education programs. This position maintains budget responsibilities, completes various academic assignments, such as with enrollment and pre-certification, collaborates with faculty and staff to ensure student academic progress, and provides customer service.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, prepare and organize special events, including orientations, open houses, information sessions, and other Admissions, Marketing and outreach initiatives that involve faculty, staff and students.
Provide customer service to all visitors and callers to Student Services, help supervise student employees, and interface regularly with faculty, staff and students regarding academic progress.
Serve as college lead, working regularly with faculty, staff and students to complete various academic assignments and the administrative requirements for cooperative education, including enrollment and grade submissions.
Maintain budgetary responsibilities for multiple accounts, including reconciliations.
Assist with various office projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent experience
2 years' experience in an administrative role
Event planning and coordination
Vendor management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a busy environment
Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite
