The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Computer Science. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply and are especially interested in candidates with background in cyber security, networking, theory, or emerging areas of computer science.
Our students consist primarily of U.S. and international military officers seeking master’s degrees, U.S. civilians entering the Cyber Corps who already have bachelor's degrees or higher and are seeking master’s degrees, and a few PhD students. We specialize in cyber security, networking, modeling and simulation, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and data science. Through research, we foster close collaboration with our military, civilian, and international counterparts, supported by state-of-the-art national and international laboratories. NPS is located close to the technology hubs of San Francisco Bay Area and are very well connected in the US Navy and DoD cyber security and big data communities. We are a growing faculty of 45, with 20 tenure track professors.
We seek to fill the position by June 2023 and will consider applications beginning 01 December 2022. The appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate level, depending upon the candidate’s seniority and experience.
Minimum qualifications:
Must have a PhD in computer science or a related
Must currently hold or be eligible for aS. Secret clearance.
