As part of the Communications department, the Web Development and Digital Analytics team builds, measures, and drives innovation of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's web properties.?? We support and maintain www.dana-farber.org, www.jimmyfund.org , www.danafarberbostonchildrens.org, the Dana-Farber Intranet, over 100 lab websites, and a variety of microsites.
The Web Development Manager reports to the Associate Director of Web Development and will be the technical and practice lead for the scrum team.?? The scrum team focuses on user experience, sound design and functionality, application performance, and achieving tangible goals. The team collaborates with web editors, marketers, researchers, product managers, and analysts through first-class design and data-driven decision making.??Approximately 50-60% of this role will be focused on directly contributing to development efforts.??

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers and web developers to build the development practice.
Contribute to a DevOps and continuous integration culture.
Expertise in LAMP stack and developing custom Drupal modules.
Integrate with external systems such as Widen digital asset manager, Acquia personalization engine, identity systems, and various MarTech products.
Play a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of the Aquia application. Oversee others who do the same for legacy .NET applications.
Work closely with Product Owners and Digital Analysts in an Agile environment to ensure quality, security, and maintenance of applications, and to ensure code meets development standards and guidelines.
Provide technical leadership, technical guidance, quality oversight, and direct contributions to lead your team to deliver complete features, services, or solutions, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and live-site monitoring, to achieve key business objectives.
Manage technical implementations performed by external vendors.
4 years bachelor???s degree or equivalent required.
3+ years experience leading a development team required.
5+ years experience with Drupal development required.
Acquia Certification preferred.
Previous experience working at or in Healthcare environments preferred.
ALSO:
Strong experience in building scalable web solution using LAMP stack, Twig, and Acquia Site Studio.
Knowledge and experience with dependency management solutions like Composer, build tools like Gulp.
Knowledge of the configuration of AWS and Azure.
Familiarity with the following: JavaScript, HTML5, XML/ XSL, SOAP, REST, AJAX, CSS3, React, Angular, RequireJS, Solr,.
Good working knowledge of database technology (MSSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Redis).
Self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Understands the software development lifecycle.
Experience with Agile software development frameworks
Experience with Docker Containers.
