Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
The duties of this Career Track Assistant Professor position in Electrical Engineering include teaching undergraduate courses in circuit theory, microelectronics, digital systems and electrical engineering laboratory; curriculum development; participating in continuous teaching assessment activities; effectively communicating, mentoring, and interacting with students; supporting student recruitment activities; and collaborating with others within the School, the University, or other organizations.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have an earned MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field by the time of hire;
Preferred Qualifications:
A PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field by time of hire is preferred; a minimum of one year of teaching experience (any rank) is preferred as well.
Candidates with strong teaching records in circuits, microelectronics, digital systems and associated laboratory courses and with demonstrated ability in curriculum development, face-to-face, videoconference and online teaching, student advising, and scholarly work are sought.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
This fixed-term position is for one year, with possibility of renewal dependent on satisfactory performance, need for extension, and/or available funding.
It is anticipated that successful candidates will begin their appointments on January 1, 2023.
