The Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Department of Computer and Information Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment begins August 1, 2023.The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate computer science courses at all levels. The standard teaching load is 3-3. Additional responsibilities include advising students, engaging in scholarship, mentoring students in undergraduate research and serving on institute committees. Current faculty specialties include cybersecurity, software engineering, information technology, database systems, artificial intelligence, internet of things, and mobile computing. Candidates with specialty in algorithms, networking, or theory of computation/programming languages will be an ideal complement and will have preference.
