The Workday Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining Workday integrations, custom report and business form layouts. This individual is involved in and participates in all aspects of integration and custom report development from helping gather requirements, helping build specifications, developing and maintaining integrations/custom reports and other team exercises. Apart from developing new integrations/custom reports, this position supports and troubleshoot existing ones. The position serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Workday Integrations in various HR and Payroll related projects.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
Required Experience: 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Workday Integrations, Report development and Workday Studio. Hands-on experience working with XML, XSLT and XPATH, and in different Workday Integrations Technologies: -Studio -EIB -Core Connect / Cloud Connect and 3+ years of experience working with Human Resource, Payroll and/or HRIS Systems, performing regression testing on integrations during Workday releases. and 3+ years of strong experience in Complex Reporting (Custom Reports, Calculated Fields, Composite Reports, etc.) and with SOAP and REST APIs. and 3+ years Experience with software development methodologies including Requirements Analysis, Design, Installation, Development, Testing (application code and user acceptance), and Deployment.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years Experience or exposure to SAML v2, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security. or 3+ years Experience in the higher education environment and familiarity with university policies and procedures is preferred. or 3+ years Experience working with Oracle database
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Extensive knowledge of Workday Studio, and of HR/Payroll concepts and practices. Strong knowledge of all Workday Integrations Technologies and Workday Reporting (Custom Reports, Composite Reports, Calculated Fields) Solid knowledge of SOAP, REST based Web Services. Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT transformation and XPATH. A demonstrated understanding of mission-critical and data-intensive problems. Good understanding of Workday functional areas HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and a good understanding of Workday Security. An ability to translate business requirements into technical and further develop. Ability to engage in deep technical discussions with clients and peers and become a trusted technical advisor. Problem-solving orientation. Thinker and doer attitude. An ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global organization settings. Curiosity, and a willingness to learn and talk about emerging technologies. An ability to perform different roles.
