The Family and Children's Resource Program (FCRP) is one of several programs within the UNC School of Social Work. FCRP supports excellence in family and child welfare services across the state by assisting county social services providers in the delivery of systematic, high-quality services through training and technical assistance activities.
The Web Developer/Database Programmer-Software Engineer focuses on rebuilding a large, highly complex, 20-year-old proprietary Learning Management System (LMS). This position will be involved in the design, development, implementation, and support of the new custom LMS and associated web-based applications and e-learning modules. These tasks are performed remotely during business hours (EST time zone) for the Family and Children's Resource Program, and include * programming, managing, and maintaining the new version of the learning management system database and associated web-based applications and reports, based on existing requirements * working closely with User Interface Developer * programming and maintaining e-learning related applications * conceptualizing, designing, and implementing technological solutions and create database and/or web-based programming as needed. Migrating database from old to new system * analyzing and evaluating clients' web and database needs to make software purchases and/or developing in-house solution * participating as a member of the Learning System team
Education and Experience:
Prefer years of experience: Master's and 3+ years' experience OR Bachelors and 5+ years' experience
