Laser/Photonics/Optical Researcher
The Quantum Sensing and Timing (QST) group at SDL is looking for a researcher in optical/photonics. Researchers with an interest in time and frequency transfer, optical frequency combs or other ultra-fast lasers, and precision timing should apply. The group focuses its efforts on building inertial measurement devices, atomic clocks, and other photonics-based quantum sensors.  Research areas include laser cooling of atomic gases, optical tweezers, frequency combs, optical time transfer, and frequency metrology.
