Detailed Job Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs general system management of platforms and / or hardware including installation, configuration, security, backup and recovery, performance and capacity management
Ensures that platforms are supported, monitored and maintained throughout their full life cycle
Identifies and maintains appropriate hardware and software technologies that are essential to the integrity and function of computing environments
Develops, programs, and / or deploys automation workflows for deployment, configuration, and monitoring of systems / services
Manages, maintains, selects, and develops automation tools and infrastructure as code, including security configurations
Conducts service reviews, automated testing and implements process improvements
Works with partners across the distributed IT community to gather requirements, communicate changes, develop strategies for services; builds and manages relationships with relevant vendors to evaluate, purchase, and implement new and emerging technologies; maintains and documents systems, establishes operational procedures, and manages multiple projects
Manages various areas of responsibilities that include: maintaining the integrity of core IT utilities and services that provide the space, power, cooling, and physical security of the data center and collaborate with other IT utility/service providers that provide those necessary functions.
Provides 24x7 service support, including on-call rotation responsibilities
Participates in ITIL practices of incident, problem management, service request, and change management as highest escalation point for platform services
Optimizes Cloud platform architectures and calculate, monitor and optimize spend
Collaborates with peer teams and vendors on solution architecture and delivery
Performs research, evaluation, architecture and deployment of new tools, frameworks, and patterns to contribute to a sustainable data and analytics ecosystem in Microsoft Azure.
Identifies and resolves infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Identifies, recommends and implements opportunities for automation.
Performs monitoring activities and establishes alerting/communications as necessary
Develops and maintains technical and non-technical guardrails and automation tools in support of cloud platforms with a focus on Azure.
Translates policy and regulatory standards into technically enforceable guardrails.
Develops and maintains CI/CD implementations and processes.
Oversees and helps others manage cloud cost control.

Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5 to 7 years of related information technology experience Skills:
Understanding of core networking principles
Understanding of identity & access management
The ability to do cost modeling in Azure or other cloud platform
Powershell and Azure CLI scripting skills
Understanding of API frameworks
The ability to implement security and compliance controls
The ability to implement and analyze monitoring and logging
Understanding of basic cloud services: vaults, storage, resource groups, etc
Understanding of CI/CD or gitops
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Azure or other cloud provider, ranging from common features to data security
