Position Description

A student intern position will be immediately available in the Interdisciplinary Science Department, Energy Systems Division. The duraon of the position will be three months (from September to December 2021) and can be extended. The student will be expected to work 19 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The major responsibility of the student will be the performance of data analytics and machine learning applications in grid operation, and Python and Matlab scripting.

Position Requirements

Candidates for the position are expected to be Ph.D. or master students with training to perform research and development under some guidance. The candidates should have a major in electrical engineering, computer science, or applied mathematics. A background in data analytics and machine learning techniques and basic knowledge of energy systems are required. Software development skills using programming languages such as Python or Matlab are also required.
