Barco is a global technology leader that develops networked visualization solutions for the Entertainment, Enterprise, and Healthcare markets. Our solutions help people to enjoy compelling entertainment experiences, they foster knowledge sharing and smart decision-making in organizations, and help hospitals provide their patients with the best possible healthcare.
Barco Labs Vancouver (a.k.a. MTT Innovation) is a cinema technology startup that joined Barco in 2016. Our expertise is in the exciting field of Computational Optics, where we developed high-brightness HDR projection displays that feature real-time light redistribution for movie content. We are proud to continue our startup spirit and get-it-done attitude and are taking the lead for Barco to bring new Computational Optics technologies to both existing and entirely new markets.
Our mandate within Barco is to develop new optical systems that leverage both precision optics and sophisticated algorithms to deliver functionality and performance that was previously impossible. Our Vancouver team is a mix of R&D researchers covering various disciplines (Electronics, Software, Algorithms, Optics, Mechanics, Imaging, Automat...ion) and from diverse backgrounds across the world.
