The profile sought is a resourceful researcher whois willing to develop new research activities and teach undergraduateandgraduatecoursesrelatedtoquantumphotonicstechnologiesapplicabletoopticalcommunicationsandinformationprocessing.Particularinterestwillbeshowninapplicantswhohavedemonstratedan ability tocarry outanddevelopmultidisciplinary research combining classicalopticalcommunications (including but not limited to digital signal processing or optical devices/sub-systems), andquantum communication systems.
Applicationsdemonstrating a strong interest in experimental implementation in the laboratory will be preferred. Innovation, originality and potential of the candidate will also be highly appreciated.
Preferred scientific expertise:
In-depth theoretical and/orpractical knowledge of communications and quantum information processing linked to one of the following topics:
Physics of optical devices and quantum functionalities
Optical transmission systems
Digital signal processing for quantum communications
Quantum-based network security
