Job Description

The Software Engineering Institute is seeking intern to work on our Information Technology Team this fall, 2022. This position will help to provide front line support of users of laptops, networks, and IT resources. As an intern, you will help to provide desktop support and handle general help desk questions, and refer more complicated issues to higher level IT staff for review or resolution. As an intern you'll collaborate on our team to provide support that is critical to the SEI's mission.

Requirements:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree granting program, with availability to work an internship schedule during the fall.

• Ability to work part of the time onsite at our offices in Pittsburgh.

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

• Candidates will be subject to a background check

Duties:

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical user problems.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot system and application software, including email clients, office applications, and approved customer-related requests.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Solid understanding of computer operating systems and common tools including networking, email clients, and web browsers

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers with varying needs from government, business, and education spectrums

• Ability to assess support issues and either resolve or escalate to the appropriate resource for resolution
