Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Yan Lab in the Department of Applied Physical Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a postdoctoral scholar focusing on optical instrumentation for microscopy and spectroscopy. The lab is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities, including holographic optical tweezers, a femtosecond laser with an UV-IR optical parametric oscillator, and an atomic force microscope (AFM), all integrated with optical microscopes and couped to a spectrograph. The new postdoctoral scholar is expected to develop customized experimental setups and new microscopy and spectroscopy techniques with these facilities, aiming to address scientific problems in nanoscience, optical physics, and biology.  The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in physics, chemistry, or o
