Candidates must be interested in software development for cybersecurity, modeling and data analytics, and visualization or related areas. This position will focus on software development. Opportunities will also be provided to work on emerging problems of interest in cybersecurity and related software development.This position will focus on:Working to develop and maintain an interactive website for the CyDef LabWorking with faculty to develop software applications to support CyDef Lab research projectsWorking with cadets to develop software applications to support CyDef Lab research projects, capstone projects, and independent studiesHandling multiple assignments as assigned by the Director of OperationsJob Duties and Responsibilities:Applying knowledge of data structures, algorithms and SQL/MySQL Databases to solve software engineering and cyber security problemsBuilding API services, middleware, frontend and backend systems.Developing, diagnosing, and operating complex computer systems, using PHP, Node.JS, React, HTML, CSS, Python and other related technologiesKnowledge of Secure Software Engineering approaches, attacks and defense mechanism for SQL Injection, Phishing, Brute force, XSS, Session Hijacking and othersIdentifying customer needs and validate product design using UX principlesWorking independently as well as in a team environment to build software and integrated solutionsHandling multiple assignments as assigned by the Director of Operations
