Required Qualifications: (As evidenced by an attached resume) Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of full time responsible experience in program development, evaluation, design of training materials or in supporting services.
Brief Description of Duties: The Senior Education Specialist will use analysis and technical skills to instruct, develop and write manuals to support Electrical Engineering Labs.
Instruct outreach engineering labs geared toward middle and high school students and teachers, aligned to NGSS/NYSSLS.
Develop new and refine existing outreach engineering labs for remote instruction, in-person field trips, and hybrid offerings.
Write/modify manuals for remote and in-person use as needed.
Create videos and demos to be used on website for remote and in person activities.
Modify existing labs and adapt them to other school levels (elementary, middle, or high).
Oversee inventory of components for outreach labs.
Instruct and assist in instruction of professional development workshops for teachers.
Instruct and assist in training teaching assistants.
Other duties as assigned.
Special Notes: The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
