We are looking for a Bioinformatics Software Engineer to implement the MSKMIND ( Multi-modal Integration of Data) data platform that will integrate multi-dimensional datasets and enable sophisticated analytics including machine learning and artificial intelligence. You will be working closely with data engineers, data scientists, clinicians, and molecular biologists.We have initiated an outstanding and transformative data-driven research initiative, named MSKMIND which unlocks features in imaging, genomics, and clinical data that will better predict patient outcomes and ultimately be translated to improved patient care.

A software and data engineer who has experience in developing software and data infrastructure.

You will!
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to improve data management and data pipelines.
Write, test, and document code for data pipelines to extract, transform and load (ETL) a variety of datasets from existing sources, including imaging, genomics, and clinical data.
Review code and documentation written by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
Support the development of cloud and on-premise data lake, and data governance/stewardship policies into the platform.
Work with machine learning experts to develop and scale machine learning applications for multi-model cancer research.
You have!
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with 1-5 years experience
Hands-on experience in software development
Strong skills in a programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, Go).
Experienced in relational and non relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDb, Cassandra, Redis)
Experience with Agile software development and participating in a Scrum team.
