EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT , Schwarzman College of Computing (SCC) , to provide complex administrative support to the deputy dean of academics (who also serves as department head in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). Will independently initiate, organize, and implement systems/procedures to efficiently manage the deputy dean's activities, including assisting with special projects, reports, and presentation preparations; ensure consistent, timely, and proactive administrative support to the deputy dean and the strategic plan and vision for the college; blend administrative support and project-focused responsibilities, including faculty affairs calendar/travel management, event planning, and budget monitoring and reconciliation; strategize with the deputy dean and senior leadership to advance the goals of college and department projects; create productive lines of communication among a broad group of faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders; be responsible for aspects of project direction, administration, and day to day operations; develop and use comprehensive knowledge of organization policies/practices in order to interpret policies, answer questions, and make recommendations; and perform related duties as requested.
REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; seven years' administrative, office, or related experience; excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; experience managing complex calendars and travel arrangements and coordinating meeting/event logistics; and advanced-level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and shared document environments (e.g., SharePoint, Dropbox, Google docs). Must be able to multitask and juggle changing priorities with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment with demanding timeframes; work independently; effectively communicate with all levels of faculty/staff/students; and use the utmost discretion with confidential issues/information.
