Under the general direction of the Power Supply Director, this position is responsible for developing and managing the electricity supply portfolio for Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TCEC) within ERCOT.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the power supply activities and contract agreements and the solicitation and evaluation of future power supply
Manage the timely, efficient, economic dispatching resources, and market products.
Provide timely and accurate reports to the Power Supply Director and Executive Team on power supply performance daily, weekly and monthly.
Establish metrics and prepare monthly reports for the Power Supply Director and Executive Team
Assist with the coordination and development of TCEC's load forecast and projections.
Make recommendations to the Power Supply Director regarding practices, procedures, and processes that facilitate standard operating procedures for power supply procurement and management.
Collaborate as needed with regulatory entities monitoring and advising on the development of new regulations
Manages the construction, operation, and maintenance of TCEC generation portfolio· Manage assigned personnel responsible for compliance and administration of federal, state, and/or local guidelines required for TCEC.

Position Requirements
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Power Supply, Energy Trading or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Professional registration is valued.
Experience
Six years of progressive experience in power system planning, power system contracts, negotiations, and power plant operation
Supervisory and management experience required
Job Knowledge
Must have extensive knowledge, understanding, and application of electric utility, generation, and transmission operations.
Must have extensive knowledge, understanding, and application of theories/principles used to develop wholesale power rates and contacts.
Communication Skills - good written and oral communication skills
Computer Skills - ability to use computer software as needed to monitor market activities
