JOB SUMMARYUnder direction of the Associate Director of Dev Ops for Risk & Safety Solutions (RSS), lead RSS development teams to provide mentoring, guidance, architecture and design to ensure the high-level development of applications used across all 10 UC campuses and 5 medical centers to ensure the safety and compliance of staff, students and patients.

WORK ENVIRONMENT - Occasionally work flexible, alternate, and/or extended hours including nights and weekends to address specific operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience programming JavaScript web applications using responsive single page application frameworks (such as angular, ReactJS, Ember).
- Experience programming Java web applications using a combination of related technologies including: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring Framework.
- Experience with JavaScript and Java testing frameworks (such as Mocha, Jasmin, Karma, and JUnit).
- Experience designing and implementing complex database application systems and user-centered Web interfaces.
- Experience integrating advanced web applications.
- Experience reviewing and producing technical policies, recommendations and analysis.
- Experience developing architectural solutions based on multi-tier architecture and web development tools.
Preferred - Experience interpreting business functions and objectives to technical solutions.
- Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL RDBMS experience, including SQL, stored procedures, and ORM experience.
- Knowledge of programming techniques including analysis, flow charting, design, work measurement, data collection, and work flow processing.
- Systems analysis and data processing skills to translate manual operations to automated processes.
- Experience training and/or mentoring technical staff.
