The Enterprise Platform Development team manages enterprise applications that support the finance; alumni, donor, friends; and HR staff systems. Areas of focus include finance information, advancement information, time and attendance, payroll, benefits, facilities and human resources systems.
ETL/Analytics Engineer working with Oracle RDBMS, Snowflake and DBT for custom application development and implementation of technical solutions to support data transformation for the enterprise applications in this portfolio. The position requires advanced sql/pl sql skills as well as experience with dbt macros, jinja, snowflake sql functions, git, unix and python. The position will support existing code base on a daily basis, resolving issues reported by end users or analysts.
In the Enterprise Systems portfolio, this position will directly support the implementation of Ellucian Banner, Cruzpay (Workforce), Famis360 (Accruent), and UCPath (Peoplesoft). Experience with two or more of the following systems is required: Banner; UCPath, an Operational Data Store; Reporting Instance Loader; CruzPay and HR Peoplesoft.
This position uses advanced application programming concepts to resolve highly complex issues and regularly works on highly complex issues where analysis of situations, and/or data, requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. May lead a team of engineers or business systems analysts on projects or technical efforts. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
The position will apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (e.g. version control, testing, continuous integration) and maintain data documentation and definitions. The position will help train business users on the use of a Common Data Platform and new data visualization tools. In addition, this position will be helping to create a culture of analytic engineers which will collaborate with business analysts, business units subject matter experts and the IT development team to provide clean transformed data ready for analysis.
This position leads development projects as needed, selecting appropriate design strategies and architecture, coordinating development tasks, code deployment with other team members, and pushing the project through testing cycles and production.

ITS Security Statement
Information Technology positions are responsible for the security of UC Institutional Information and IT Resources. The incumbent is required to follow all applicable information security policies, procedures, and standards to maintain minimum standards of information security for data, systems and applications. Supervisors are responsible for making sure their staff have appropriate security skills and qualifications, and complete all appropriate and required security training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Advanced experience with two or more of the following: Ellucian Banner, HR Peoplesoft, CruzPay(Workforce), Famis 360 (Accruent), Operational Data Store and Reporting Instance Loader (UCPath).
Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming and schema construction, and shell scripting in Unix.
Demonstrated software repository skills using GIT.
Excellent project leadership and management skills, demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Advanced knowledge of secure software development, and experience developing and executing complex test plans.
