Position Summary

As an Audiovisual Systems Designer at DLR Group  you will be responsible for applying your audiovisual design skills in the realization of award-winning design projects. As part of our integrated design teams you create buildings that elevate the human experience through design. DLR Group is an award-winning, international architecture firm with 25+ offices worldwide. Along with traditional architecture and engineering design services, DLR Group provides innovative and integrated Audio Visual Design Solutions for music and drama spaces, cultural arts facilities, museums, institutional buildings, lecture halls, meeting rooms, courtrooms, and other technology centric environments as part of the Innovative Technology Design Group.

• Creating effective graphic communications for clients and colleagues to effectively convey complex conceptual design ideas.
• You will design, develop and document various project types.
• Additionally, you'll support design projects with exceptional design thinking, project imagery, design research, and project documentation.

The successful candidate will

• Have excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.
• Possess a high level of proficiency in the production of graphic communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• A basic understanding of building systems and construction techniques
• Active involvement and recognition in the national professional AV community, and extensive knowledge of current AV standards and practices.
• CTS or CTS-D desirable.
• LEED AP and proficiency in Green Building Techniques a plus.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in audio visual systems design, including but not limited to: room automation, digital signage, performance audio systems, cinema (digital and 35mm), classroom systems, conference room systems, building wide AV signal distribution, and recording and broadcast systems.
• Proficient in the use of Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology or Sound/Projection Design or Electrical Engineering.
• Intermediate and demonstrated ability in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Proficient in the use of computer modeling and rendering software.
