The NYU Center for Data Science (CDS) seeks to fill an Adjunct Faculty position in Data Science at its Washington Square campus.

The position is for one (1) semester in Fall 2022 to teach DS-GA 1007 Programming for Data Science from September 1, 2022 through December 22, 2022.

• Course schedule for lecture: Mondays from 6:45pm-8:25pm 

• Course description: The Programming for Data Science course is aimed at providing students with the skills necessary to use Python for data analysis in scientific computing. In particular the course will cover Python, the NumPy package for scientific computing, the pandas data analysis library, including reading and writing of CSV files, the Jupyter development environments, and the Matplotlib 2D plotting library.  The course will also provide an introduction to best-practice software engineering techniques.

Ph.D. in data science, computer science, or a related field.
