STUDENT/INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR , Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) , to will work with the EECS Alliance industrial officers and the SCC program manager to develop, maintain and grow initiatives that help connect EECS students with industry partners. Will serve as the primary liaison between students and member companies and manage a variety of student-focused programs and events, including the 6A program which allows students to pursue a leading-edge industry project while simultaneously working towards the completion of their MEng thesis; Coffee-with-an-Engineer events, which connect industry partners with students in informal settings to help them share experiences and advice; and the Industry Mentor Program, which connects students with industry experts to help them with their lab projects. Responsibilities include working with the program manager to maintained established and newly created corporate relationships within the EECS Alliance; managing logistics for workshops, fireside chats, and other events; keeping detailed records of interactions with industry partners and students; managing a robust portfolio of internships and financial budgeting and procurement activities involving the EECS Alliance; and developing promotional material, social media posts, and online newsletter.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least two years' relevant work experience; excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; self-motivation and ability to work independently; sound judgment and discretion with confidential/sensitive matters; experience coordinating logistics for major events/activities; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and ability to develop and maintain relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including students, faculty, administrators, and external partners.
