Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for an Information Technology Adjunct Faculty. This part-time instructor will teach information technology courses in networking/general computer science at the Covington campus. Courses will be taught through in-person or remote synchronous lectures, day and/or evening. Program support activities including various community involvement events may be required.
Provide instruction and familiarize students with the background, knowledge, and basic skills in Database Design, Microsoft Office, Networking, CISCO, Virtualization Concepts, and Software
Preferred candidates would be able to teach at various levels to help support their programs.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field.
Assume a participative role in supporting and promoting the mission, goals, and objectives of the College by performing the duties and responsibilities of the position as direct by the leadership of the department, division, and College

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
Professional certifications are desired
Experience with Blackboard is a plus
Two years of relevant experience within the last five years in Information Technology, Networking, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, and Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in information technology or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in information technology or a Master's Degree with certifications or equivalent.
Prior teaching or Corporate training experience
Experience in and understanding of the importance of working with students from diverse populations.
Experience working at the community college level.
