Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Apply testing best practices to development process for software solutions.
Build well-rounded testing strategy for the data platform.
Build and maintain automated testing frameworks.
Identify and create test data through automation.
Influence team members through lean agile leadership.
Mentor on software craftsmanship and quality standards.
Develop and integrate tests using continuous deployment and integration practices.
Participate in agile implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures.
Participate in code reviews and feedback to the team.
Mentor technical members of the team.
Contribute to a collaborative work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions.
Identify data quality issues through automation. Propose fixes and design data audits.
Translate technology trends into scalable solutions for the Managed Investment domain.
4+ years of professional experience.
At least 3 years in software engineering, TDD, debugging and testing.
Ability to work with different programming languages like Python, Java, and SQL.
Experience with agile methodologies/DevOps environment.
Fundamental understanding of testing principles and test automation.
Displays a strong passion for data quality and data concepts.
Strong understanding of data Integration patterns and tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs.
Experience with both on-premises and cloud-based data architecture.
Strong understanding of all integration testing points - data source to bronze to silver to gold.
Hands-on experience with a variety of data stores, both operational and analytical.
Previous experience with data warehouses, data lakes, RDDBMS, and NoSQL stores, such as: MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift.
Provides a Strong Agile Lean Servant-Leader Model.
Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
