Accountable for developing the strategic asset management program and overseeing its implementation. Provides technical as well as supervisory directions and assignments to the team of direct reports to accomplish all aspects of asset management at optimized cost, schedule and accuracy to achieve desired reliability performance. This includes compliance with Hoosier Energy’s policies, NERC/RRO and other industry standards, and successful mitigation of other constraining issues. Creates a work environment that fosters communication and collaboration within and between departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stays abreast of innovation in maintenance and asset management, recognizes advances and suggests changes to methodologies, administrative policies and procedures, and other matters that can reduce cost, challenge staff and improve efficiencies of all personnel.
Responsible for implementing a culture of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to oversee root cause analyses, and to determine long-range and emergent asset life cycle decisions and sparing strategies based on financial and ongoing asset performance considerations.
Sets expectations and successfully influences peers across Technical Services and Operations to ensure appropriate data is collected and submitted to actively manage assets.
Leads condition assessment programs and contributes to capital work plan project selection for asset replacements driven by asset health.
Champions implementation, use and development of analytical tools to support data-driven decision making.
Accountable for performance reporting and benchmarking against best-practices.
Interfaces with neighboring utilities, member systems and member consumers for reliability or power quality concerns. Assists in the development of the long range plan for Hoosier Energy by defining the asset management and reliability needs of the organization.
Provides input to the construction work plans and budgets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Leads change in a dynamic environment and serves as an agent of change for gaining acceptance of new processes.
Monitors and ensures asset management strategy meets or exceeds the requirements of all corporate policies compliance standards, and state and federal regulations, and considers industry best practice.
Oversees the collaborative development and implementation of the strategic asset management plan.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree minimum
Master's Degree in Engineering, Management or equivalent degree preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certifications preferred
10 Progressively more responsibility with combined experience in power system asset management
