Pragmatic engineer required to handle hardware design projects within a multinational, project management focused design team. The engineer will be responsible for the timely implementation of designs and solutions for power and control panel assembly.
Electrical design of power and control circuits;
Preparation of wiring diagrams, panel layouts and complete project design documentation for manufacturing purposes;
Design of panel layouts including cutting, drilling drawings;
Cable and component specification, sizing, selection and associated design;
Preparation of assembly instructions and work packs;
Creating bills of materials in advance of procurement and manufacture;
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants (up to 10%);
Must be able to work in a flexible environment where timescales and project plans are required to be met.
Education: Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge;
Experience in electrical hardware engineering design for industrial automation;
Applicant should be a self-starter, able to work through problems, and make decisions with minimal guidance;
Ability to create detailed wiring diagrams and panel layouts utilizing EPLAN P8 and AutoCAD;
Knowledge of safety circuits, safety-related parts of a control system and design requirements, knowledge of the SISTEMA tool will be an advantage;
Proficiency in utilizing MS Office software products with a focus on MS Excel, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, MS Teams;
Familiarization with IEC harmonized standards under Machinery and Low Voltage Directives and their design requirements;
Knowledge of UL508A standard will be an advantage;
Knowledge of ATEX guidelines will be an advantage;
Local language skills, plus good command of English both verbal and written.
