As a member of the DRE (Digital, Robotics, & Enabling Technology) organization, you will be a key leader in our Guidance, Tracking & Sensing Technologies group.
Your key responsibilities
You lead a team of Software and System Engineers to develop innovative solutions for computer aided and robotics surgery systems in the area of localization, data processing, operating platforms as well as machine vision.
You are responsible for recruiting, selecting, on-boarding and developing talents to increase performance. You coordinate the activities of R&D team to meet agreed deliverables for active projects and evaluate the performance of the team.
You partner with Marketing, R&D Leadership and Customers to build out technology roadmaps. Furthermore, you build relationships with stakeholders, key partners, and cross-divisional R&D leaders to implement road maps and deliver on current projects.
You are entrusted with coaching the team and facilitating technology selections as well as architectural decisions.
Moreover, you strive to improve R&D processes.
What are we looking for?
You have successfully completed your studies in the field of computer science, software engineering, robotics or comparable.
You have 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a R&D function in software engineering and embedded product development, ideally in a strongly regulatory environment.
Furthermore, you have already gained experience in managing R&D teams of direct reports including people development.
In personal terms, you are characterized by a strong analytical and strategic mindset, a high level of quality awareness, strong communication skills and a high level of proven interface competence.
As an integrative leader, you know how to get others carried away, to inspire them and to motivate them.
Fluent English and, ideally, a good command of written and spoken German round off your profile.
