GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Perform responsible technical and analytical work involving the design, programming, testing and implementation of application based systems and projects. Furnishes user support for other areas as required by the Information Technology Department. Work is performed under general supervision of the Applications Development Manager.
Defines and documents system scope, current logical view, proposed logical view, applications and general requirements using structured and object oriented design and analysis techniques. Identifies opportunities for improvement within the systems and actively proposes effective solutions. Develops, modifies, tests and implements software solutions using the appropriate programming languages and methodologies. Analyzes the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and workflows. Provides expertise for systems, user support and requirements gap analysis to both internal and external customers. Works with software vendors to resolve problems and participates in vendor product implementations including upgrades, patching and testing. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

KUA owns, operates and manages the municipal electric system established by the City of Kissimmee in 1901. KUA is the sixth largest utility in Florida. KUA's 300 employees serve approximately 77,000 customers in Kissimmee and surrounding areas.
