Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer located at our fast-paced manufacturing plant in Temple, TX.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for improving productivity by planning, coordinating, and executing design changes that improve product quality and increase machine reliability. You will have the opportunity to:
Create manufacturing improvements through design and process changes.
Perform analysis and design experiments to assess current conditions
Implement improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, and cost
Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to improve the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) for production equipment
Ultimately, you will use your problem-solving skills to provide direction to drive continuous improvement and solve chronic productivity, quality, and equipment issues.

We need you to have:
BA/BS in Engineering
2+ years of professional and progressive process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical design experience for improving existing manufacturing machines
Experience creating 3D mechanical prints of designs
Analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to assess needs, understand issues, and identify improvement opportunities
Ability to build strong relationships with operations leaders in order to effect change
Ability to collaborate with others in a positive manner to drive results
Self starter that can generate manufacturing equipment or process improvements and follow through implementation
Icing on the cake:
Lean/Six Sigma certification/exposure
Prior team management experience
Ability to develop metrics and dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau etc.)
Ability to use Auto-Cad software programs.
