Deloitte's Cloud Engineering practice is committed to offering superior value to its clients by offering Software Engineering Pod teams for native cloud development. These teams work cohesively across geographies with enhanced management and technical skills. As the key member of these teams, you will be the driving force behind their success. You will be the single point of contact for the team and you will be the evangelist and champion of the software engineering pod(s). Acting as the liaison between the client and the software engineering pods, you will get to interface with the clients. You will manage day to day operations of the pods, including addressing challenges and triaging on technical issues that may need attention. To be successful in this role, you need to have good management skill coupled with hands-on software development skills. We are looking for leaders who shine when they are in critical roles.
Having full knowledge of the Agile development model, you will act as a servant-leader for the team and will manage the backlog to ensure it is properly periodized. You will resolve any prioritization conflict by working with the client leadership, to ensure consistent delivery of software features. As the leader of the team, you will run key meetings and Scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, release planning, retrospectives and demos. You will provide consistent and timely reports on team metrics and outputs. To ensure consistent team velocity, you will identify, remove and/or escalates risks, roadblocks, and cross team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team's ability to deliver commitments.
CBO Cloud Engineering Team
The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client's end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
MS/BS degree in IT or related field
5 years relevant work experience
In-depth understanding of Agile Principles
Experience working with key stakeholders and resolving issues across teams
Strong facilitation and presenting skills
Effective communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and servant leadership
Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
Sufficient understanding of technology systems and the team's ecosystem to triage technical issues and guide the team to technical solutions
Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
