We are searching for a Sr. Manager, Security Analytics & Automation in Irving, TX to join the team.
McKesson is looking for a manager to build a cross-functional team to support security analytics and automation across the enterprise. This individual will lead global analytics platform initiatives and manage systems that allow McKesson ISRM to scale adverse event detection, incident response and permit stakeholders to accelerate delivery of internal projects. This individual will also mentor and provide training on various data activities from onboarding and ingestion to transformation and accelerated correlation. This role is focused on supporting Security Operations, Threat Intelligence and Response along with security posture and compliance visibility.
This position provides management and technical leadership in the areas of Security Analytics and Automation
The position will involve SIEM and SOAR strategy for McKesson ISRM globally
Duties include regular collaboration with Architecture, Application and Cloud Security for software engineering best practices in SDLC and CI/CD of production systems, (Kubernetes/Terraform/Ansible or other cloud orchestration tool sets experience)
Manage and lead staff across regions for unified engineering capacity and delivery
Lead discussion and provide ownership for security best practice on intrusion analysis/detection from various datasets within organization
Provides technical team leadership and helps set direction with regards to projects
Develop, mentor and train staff, focusing on continuous learning for self and team
Defines and documents standards, implementation plans, support procedures and technical specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including capability for documenting runbooks, playbooks and other automation efforts needed for event enrichment
Responsible for maintaining KPI metrics, managing and reporting for area and keeping management updated of all potential issues, capacity concerns, or changes that impact the topologies being supported
Strong analytical skills giving the ability to make recommendations for changes in the procedures and systems to upper management
Monitor the availability and ensure functionality of data analytics inputs, platforms used by ISRM such as Kafka, Azure Event Hubs
Strategic ability to improve current task and processes through automation as needed
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience
10+ years relevant technical experience and 3+ years leadership experience
Demonstrated experience with automation scripting, python
Strong knowledge of ETL process and options for data transformations
Experience with Kafka, Splunk and cloud environments, Azure or GCP preferred
Strong knowledge of security engineering with focus on design and support for global enterprise clients
Experience in performance and development solutions such as Workday, Peoplesoft and time reporting solutions such as Kronos
Security certifications - CISSP and/or CISM
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Displays effective communication and presence, demonstrates responsibilities in leading people and has risk focused mindset
The ideal candidate will be able to discuss security topics in technical detail with the members of Compliance, Product Assurance, Security Solutions and Offensive Engineering teams in addition to relationships with BISO
Bachelor's degree preferred or related experience
