What you will do
The incumbent will lead a group of engineers to actively contribute towards Stryker Communications Infrastructure product development. Interfaces with divisional counterparts in US & Germany to define project timelines and establish a good tracking mechanism. Interface with Operations, Materials, Sterility, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality and Suppliers to establish correct requirements for product design and development. Work with divisional counterparts to establish the communication plan with different departments, follow-up with stakeholders to complete the project within timelines, resolve any pending issues.

This role requires technical depth, project management as well as understanding of business and future early trends in business and technology. The incumbent will build and maintain strong relationships between engineering and customer excellence teams (System Engineering, User Experience, QA) to ensure that we're delivering the right product for customers.
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering products as per the required specifications within target product cost, time, quality, and performance.
Responsible for the timely and quality deliveries of the Projects/Tasks.
Work as point of contact for all project related aspects with the stakeholders.
Ensure continual improvement in customer satisfaction, delivering higher value services and productivity.
Managing partnerships with vendors and other SME as needed.
Contribute to absorption of new technologies, processes, and methods.
Develop an open culture to instill confidence, diversity of perspectives and knowledge sharing.
Develop an environment to focus on customer needs.
Responsible for project budget estimation, monitoring, and attainment throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring, and closure of project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicating frequently across all project stakeholders to ensure project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
Monitor & deliver key metrics
Hire/Prepare/Develop Talents for strategic pipeline and lead/support projects
Will manage a team of six or more engineers.
Will mentor, provide feedback and perform appraisal of the team members in highly professional manner.
Drive tangible action based on the team's feedback.
Med Device Compliance:
Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations.
Lead creation and refinement of engineering documentation, such as the Design History file.
Follow and mentor others on R&D procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System.
Work cooperatively with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
Identify and support the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology.
Support and execute segments of complex multifunctional teams to advance projects through the design /development/launch process.
Deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build partnership to achieve business objectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (strongly desired):
Proficient in modelling tool Pro-E, Solid works.
Good understanding on Electrical Safety, C Programming, Software/Embedded Testing
Knowledge of FEA, Welding, Sheet Metal, Injection Molding etc.
Good experience in DFMEA, DFM, Basic GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up.
Concept design and development.
Knowledge of manufacturing process.
Very good Knowledge of Engineering Change Process.
Design and Risk Management documents.
Design Verification and Validation.
Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with 11+ years of work experience. Minimum 2 years in similar role of product development and leading teams.
