You will be part of our diverse team as a Senior Technical Recruiter. You will work closely with our senior technical staff and other recruiters to develop creative strategies to locate the best talent to support our needs. You will be responsible for exploring various channels to find potential candidates and build a diverse talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs. You will manage NREC recruiting activities to find and attract technical talent and support/administrative personnel to our organization.
You will also work with CMU's Human Resources to take advantage of its recruiting capabilities and utilize Workday Recruiting to support the full life-cycle recruitment and hiring process. You will also partner with external recruiting agencies to assist with recruiting top talent already working in industry. You will also have recruiting tools at your disposal to find talented individuals who are enthusiastic to be part of NREC's vibrant culture, diversity and work environment.

Core responsibilities include:
Source quality candidates : Search for candidates using available tools (e.g. social media, LinkedIn Recruiter Seat, etc.), organize and participate in events to attract local students; visit college recruiting events, etc. Provide continuous input to the marketing team to maintain and update the careers section of the website.
Responsibilities for recruiting process : Perform a preliminary screening of resumes to bring only qualified candidates to the hiring managers. Perform preliminary phone screen of the candidates to assess skills and interest. Provide recommendations to the hiring managers for interviews. Develop interview guide with the interviewing teams and organize interview debriefs to collect feedback. Support hiring managers with hire decision.
Administrative functions : Create job descriptions for the career section of CMU's and NREC's website; responsible for posting positions in a timely manner; schedule interviews.
Communicate with NREC Leadership : Track of the candidate pipeline and job openings to provide a weekly status report to hiring managers and NREC Leadership.
Coordination of hiring process for hiring managers : Ensure that hiring managers and interviewers are following the process from start the finish. This includes collaborating with CMU HR for visa processing.
Other tasks as assigned : Assist with additional administrative/recruiting tasks as needed.
You must demonstrate:
Ability to develop and execute creative search strategies to build a pipeline of candidates and other talent segments as needed, utilizing various channels such as: LinkedIn, personal network, blogs, forums, and other social media.
Ability to understand key roles and identify high potential resumes.
Ability to positively present NREC open roles to potential candidates.
Review resumes and credentials for appropriate skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
Interview and assess for technical and business abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Flexibility, team player, ability to react to deadlines.
Ability to take initiatives.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
5-8 years' of sourcing experience, including demonstrated experience in developing and executing innovative search techniques, name/lead generation, internet searches using social media and other recruiting tools to identify prospective candidates.
Experience with recruiting for technical/scientific positions (software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, robotics engineers, etc.).
