Position Summary The Competitive Intelligence Program Lead role supports business units by providing technical intelligence about competitive hardware and software offerings. Technical Intelligence can include software user experience assessments, functionality comparisons as well as hardware teardowns and design analysis. Position Responsibilities:
Work w/ BU clients to review their business strategies. Assess both technical and product roadmaps with BU leadership and provide recommendations on how CI can provide decision support.
CI production planning
Based on BU client needs - build CI production plans that provide layout future CI research actions. Product Plans will provide direction to CI research analysts.
Guide analysts, engineers, and other team members to compile research and build reports
Manage project pipeline for all businesses supported. Update BU stakeholders w/ progress and recommend adjustments as needs evolve.
Critique and provide feedback to analysist rough draft reports.
Summarize and distil findings into salient executive summaries.
Essential Functions: Ongoing assessment of BU strategy needs and planning how competitive intelligence work products can support them. From these assessments - articulate the key questions the BU's are trying to answer and how the answers will relate back to their strategy needs. Use the defined questions to provide direction to analysts. Provide guidance and support as analysts create intelligence reports. Use these reports to build CTI highlight summaries from relevant CTI projects completed in the last 6-12 months. These reports educate BU's on broader competitive intel findings from a broader RA view. Clearly communicates and conveys design and analysis concepts, presentations, and deliverables, both verbally and written. Must be able to work independently and communicate well with global development teams. Effectively teams with others through mutually supportive professional relationships, open and direct communications, honesty and respect. Able to cope with and leverage personality differences and differences of opinion. Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional projects. Ability to present and communicate research findings to small and large teams. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering major or equivalent experience
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in software applications and industrial automation systems.
Programming and Application Experience:
Should be familiar with Industrial Automation products & software:
Studio 5000, RSView, Factory Talk, Batch, MES software, etc.
Logix Controllers & IO products, HMI, Drives and Motion would be preferred
