Teach AAS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include manual drivelines, brakes, electrical, engines, steering and suspension, electronic fuel management, chassis electrical, automatic transmissions, heating ventilation and air conditioning, service area or automotive machining. A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected.
Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
Qualification by Credential: Master's degree in an Automotive Discipline, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Education or a related discipline OR a master's degree and 18 graduate hours in an Automotive Discipline, Engineering, Engineering Technology or related discipline. Qualification by Tested Experience: BS in Automotive Discipline, Engineering, Engineering Technology or Education with an Automotive Emphasis, MS Engineering or Engineering Technology and three years hands-on experience in Automotive Service or related field OR BS Engineering or Engineering Technology and MS (any) and six years hands-on experience in Automotive Service or related field OR BS Engineering or Engineering Technology and 12 years hands-on experience and a subject matter expert in an area relevant to Automotive Service.

Required Licenses and Certifications:
Appropriate ASE certifications based on content of course taught.
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:
Previous Career and Technical Education teaching experience. Previous college teaching experience.
Teach Auto Service courses. Responsible for teaching Auto Service course objectives according to established guidelines. Ability to use Microsoft Office, Mitchel on Demand and All Data.
