The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.
Purpose of your role
The incumbent will be a member of the Azure DevOps team, reporting to the Azure Devops Product Owner. The primary focus of the role will be to help FIL build out and then support a global strategic Azure service offering to meet FIL global cloud strategy goals
Service Assurance, and maintenance for required Azure service
Software defined Networking, - including network architecture, security, connectivity, (VWAN/Firewall, DDOS, Secure internet egress/ingress, Security logging, DNS, DHCP, NTP, vnet, subnet, pip, nsg)
Monitoring, logging, of core support azure services with integration into Sentinel and Security Centre
CI/CD Pipeline - Azure Devops
Automated code Testing
Automated Prod to Sandbox test environments/Landing Zones
Consultancy - Help new business units to successfully on-board in to Azure and manage the service via product model on an ongoing basic
Training/Upskilling - Ensure new business units have access to Azure SME's and the correct training material
Engineering - Assist new business units to engineer new services into Azure
Integrations - Integrations via API to third party solutions (E.G Service Now, CyberArc)
Ongoing/evergreen support of core services and service enhancements
Support for required audit, risk and BCP events
Candidates will work closely with the Cloud Product owner(s) and other service areas within TIS such as Network, Data Services, Project Office, Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure that appropriate tools and processes are in place to aid in their operations and improve time to market where possible.
They will also work with product and service owner and the commercial team to ensure regular service review with Microsoft are held and any requests / service improvements are tracked for Audit purposes
Develop and Maintain support documentation, knowledge bases and issue tracking using Confluence and Jira
Experience and Qualifications Required
Extensive technical experience covering the following:
Azure Software defined networking
Azure VM management (configuration, Performance and Security)
Delivering Azure Service via code using PowerShell , DSC, Terraform etc.
Delivering and managing CI/CD Pipelines
BCP/DR (Site recovery)
Ability to deliver custom solutions (via automation or other products) to address non-standard requirements or provide additional value
Automated testing of Code
Azure PAAS Data Service & Availability
Azure Cognitive Services
Strong understanding / experience of the following products/technologies:
Azure Scale sets
Remote access technologies and troubleshooting
Active Directory, Azure AD
WAN / LAN technologies and Network Security products
Configuration Management (configuration drift)
Experience with the following is an advantage:
Collaboration & Voice & Video technologies (O365, Zoom)
Enterprise Cloud Storage
ISO, ITIL, CIS Standards for Cloud
Strong documentation skills
MS Azure certification an advantage
A disposition to take responsibility
An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst following standard change control procedures
Organised with good attention to detail
Structured and methodical in problem solving
Strong communication skills and flexible team player
Flexibility to travel between locations
Banking or Finance related business experience desirable
