An opportunity to develop solid Variable Speed Drives engineering and applications knowledge and expertise via assignments in Drive Systems engineering projects . The position will include direct alignment into RA's integrated project delivery model (iPD), taking the engineer through the design, development, testing and commissioning phases of our Drives Systems projects
You will work with other engineers and technical leads to implement engineered solutions, work in a team environment to deploy these solutions to various industries served by Rockwell Automation in the South Pacific region.
Knowledge / Exposure to Power Electronics / Variable Speed Drives / Motion Control.
Complete project tasks as assigned, to required quality, budgeted hours and to schedule.
Provide accurate and punctual feedback to Project Managers concerning progress on assignments, scheduling, time sheet and expense activities.
Work with other senior engineers and/or supervisor to produce design documentation for engineered solutions.
Per assigned project(s), work under supervision and authority of more senior engineers, project managers and direct supervisor
Implement and develop Variable Speed Drive Systems design, programming and configuration, working under the guidance of other senior staff and developing skills to do this independently
Implement electrical and hardware design (panels, enclosures, power distribution) with guidance from more experienced team members
Self-supervising with the ability to manage assigned tasks and changing priorities in a team environment.
Perform on-site commissioning and testing
Ensure project implementation to the iPD standard
Network with other Rockwell Automation colleagues from other business units when necessary to implement assigned tasks and/or solve engineering/application problems
Other duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor
Job Related Competencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
Effective communication - written and verbal;
Problem Solving from 1st principles
Willingness to travel (local & international), work overtime and weekends to achieve customer and project requirements, e.g. to meet project deadlines
Willingness to be on site for extended periods (Typically 2 - 6 weeks, with exceptions as required by the project), e.g. commissioning activities
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering
Open to Fresh Graduates/ with 1-2 years of Post Graduates.
