At Stony Brook Medicine, this Technical Operations Manager will provide management oversight for the Mart/New Bed Tower Electric department.
Duties of this Technical Operations Manager may include the following but are not limited to:
Review all employee evaluations and employee performance documentation
Effectively manage assigned staff and budgets of the East Campus Mart/New Bed Tower Electric department
Responsible for the daily operations (including service/maintenance) and contract management of the East Campus Mart/New Bed Tower Electric department
Develop quality controls and improvements
Review and implement all Plant Operations Policies and Procedures
Responsible for the JCAHO compliance for all assigned area's
Associate's degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field and at least five years of technical experience in the electrical or related field.
In lieu of Associate's degree, at least ten years of technical experience in the electrical or related field.
Knowledge of Regulatory Agency Compliance (Joint Commission, DOH, CMS).
Previous supervisory experience (in a health care and/or unionized setting).
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Strong communications skills.
Experience maintaining a major healthcare facility.
