Detailed Job Description The College of Art and Design Facilities team invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Photographic Facilities Coordinator. This hourly position works closely with a second Photographic Facilities Coordinator and both coordinators report directly to the Operations Manager. Although the two Facilities Coordinators' positions overlap in responsibilities, there is a division of duties that enables attention to all areas in SPAS. Overall responsibilities include managing the daily operations of the facilities consisting of the equipment inventory checkout system, computer labs, studios and darkrooms, along with managing a student staff of 45. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of imaging technologies, repair capabilities, software and processes in both still and motion media, digital and analog. Excellent trouble-shooting, communication and collaborative skills are also desirable.
Manage and monitor large-scale equipment loan operation and associated checkout database that primarily supports the School of Photography but also provides secondary support to the entire College of Art and Design.
Oversee and manage daily operation of all SPAS facilities. This includes studios, computer labs, darkrooms, equipment cages, audio and animation labs.
Shared direct supervision and management of approximately 50 student employees. Includes hiring, scheduling, evaluating, and time card maintenance and approval (Kronos).
Directly responsible for management and maintenance of all SPAS facilities and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, evaluating, and basic preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary of photographic equipment, computer hardware, and photo processing equipment.
Primarily a day-shift position; evening and weekend support is sometimes required.
Must have broad knowledge and understanding of the Adobe software suite and related image editing software as well as digital capture and output technologies/workflows.
A member of a larger facilities support team for the college. Teamwork, collaboration, sharing of resources, and backup support are core to the operational success of this team.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree, preferably in imaging or a related field, or equivalent experience
Competent with computers, peripherals, digital imaging equipment, and related support software.
Basic equipment troubleshooting and repair experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, and organized with good attention to detail.
